Preparation:
Provide detailed clinical history (Mandatory)Collect whole blood in 3.2 % Sod. citrate (blue top vacutainer): Store sample along with cool pack and transport to AmPath within 4 hours of collection. For out-station samples : 1. Prepare platelet poor plasma (PPP) within 1 hour of collection. Centrifuge citrated blood at 3500rpm for 15 minutes. Separate plasma into a plain screw capped vial. Platelet count should be less than 10x10^3/?L. 2. Freeze at – 20°C with dry ice. 3. Ship immediately in dry ice.
