This test is intended for the detection of Influenza A H1N1 virus (Swine Flu). A swab sample from the nose or the back of throat is collected for testing. You and your doctor may mandatorily be required to fill a form before testing. This form is mandatory as per government protocols. While Swine Flu recovery in normal individuals progresses well with treatment and management, pregnant women, children, elderly people, patients with a history of heart and lung disease, immunocompromised individuals; i.e. HIV patients may be at a greater risk of complications arising from Swine Flu. Therefore, rapid and accurate diagnosis is extremely important and that is why the H1N1 Swine Flu PCR test is recommended.
